A typical case
Central purchasing only wants approved items in its system. Instead of a spreadsheet with a tick column you send a link; the selection comes back to you as a finished catalogue.
The problem Primus Exclusion solves
In many companies, agreeing the product range with business customers still runs through spreadsheets and email loops. That costs time on both sides and produces versions nobody can reliably tell apart afterwards.
Primus Exclusion is a cloud-based whitelisting and blacklisting solution for customer-specific product selection. Your customer works in a familiar shop interface while you keep control over what can be selected – and over the final approval.
- spreadsheet ping-pong
- Nospreadsheet ping-pongCoordination runs through a link instead of email attachments.
- the range they want
- Exactlythe range they wantThe customer selects themselves – misunderstandings disappear.
- manual rework
- Zeromanual reworkThe catalogue is generated personalised, with no post-processing.

No spreadsheets, no email ping-pong. That time is simply gone.

Part of the same catalogue foundation
Primus Exclusion works on the same data as Primus Catalog. Your customer’s selection flows straight into the existing automation – including bulk edits, classification checks and platform export.
The customer-specific range therefore arrives exactly where it is needed without an intermediate step: in the BMEcat catalogue, on the procurement platform or in the PunchOut.
- Shared data foundation with Primus Catalog
- Automatic validation against eCl@ss and UNSPSC
- Export as BMEcat, CIF, Excel or CSV
- Direct handover to platforms via API, FTP or SFTP
- Final approval always stays with the supplier
Frequently asked questions about Primus Exclusion
Nothing here that matches? Write to us – you will get a technical answer, not a template.
Does my customer really see the entire catalogue?
Only if you want them to. Filters let you define in advance which items are available for selection at all – by price limit, manufacturer or product group, for instance.
Does my customer need an account or software?
No. The customer receives a link and works directly in the browser, in an interface familiar from online shops. No installation and no account required.
Who approves the final catalogue?
You do. The customer’s selection is a proposal – the final catalogue is only generated once you agree.
Can Primus Exclusion be booked on its own?
Primus Exclusion is available as a flexible add-on in every package and is fully integrated into the Primus system. You will find the details on the pricing page.
How many errors does your catalogue have?
Upload a BMEcat file. The validator checks it against the DTD and our quality rules and shows every error with its location. Free, no sign-up.
